Will they be held accountable?

Florida Republicans betrayed gun owners.

BIG TIME!

The Florida House, Senate, AND Governor’s Office, all controlled by supposedly pro-gun Republicans just rammed through some of the WORST gun control in the state’s history.

This new law:

  • Disarms adults under the age of 21, leaving them defenseless.
  • Imposes mandatory government waiting periods on ALL firearms purchases.
  • Bans certain firearm accessories.
  • Implements a “mental health” gun ban which could strip up to 3.5 million law-abiding Floridians of their rights WITHOUT due process.
  • Creates Gun Confiscation Orders without due process.

To add insult to injury, 67 Republicans who received an “A” rating from the National Rifle Association, decided to fall for the anti-gunners’ voodoo and vote for this terrible anti-gun package.

These are the “A” Rated Republican Senators who betrayed law-abiding Florida gun owners:

Aaron Bean – Nassau
Lizbeth Benacquisto – Lee
Rob Bradley – Baker
Jeff Brandes – Pinellas
Doug Broxson – Escambia
Anitere Flores – Monroe
Bill Galvano – Manatee
Travis Hutson – Flagler
Debbie Mayfield – Indian River
Joe Negron – Martin
Kathleen Passidomo – Collier
David Simmons – Seminole
Wilton Simpson – Citrus
Kelli Stargel – Lake
Dana Young – Hillborough

But these backstabbing Senators weren’t alone, they had plenty of help from “A” rated Republicans in the House:

Larry Ahern – Pinellas
Ben Albritton – DeSoto
Thad Altman – Brevard
Bryan Avila – Miami-Dade
Halsey Beshears – Calhoun
Michael Bileca – Miami-Dade
Jim Boyd – Manatee
Jason Brodeur – Seminole
Danny Burgess – Pasco
Colleen Burton – Polk
Chuck Clemons – Dixie
Richard Corcoran – Pasco
Bob Cortes – Osceola
Travis Cummings – Clay
Manny Diaz Jr. – Broward
Dane Eagle – Lee
Randy Fine – Brevard
Heather Fitzenhagen – Lee
Tom Goodson – Brevard
Michael Grant – Charlotte
Joe Gruters – Manatee
Bill Hager – Palm Beach
Gayle Harrell – Martin
Shawn Harrison – Hillsborough
Sam Killebrew – Polk
Mike LaRosa – Osceola
MaryLynn Magar – Martin
Ralph Massullo Jr. – Citrus
Lawrence McClure – Hillsborough
Larry Metz – Lake
George Moraitis – Broward
Jeanette Nunez – Miami-Dade
Jose Oliva – Miami-Dade
Bobby Olszewski – Orange
Bobby Payne – Bradford
Kathleen Peters – Pinellas
Cary Pigman – Glades
Scott Plakon – Seminole
Rene Plasencia – Brevard
Elizabeth Porter – Baker
Jake Raburn – Hillsborough
Holly Merrill Raschein – Monroe
Paul Renner – Flagler
Ray Rodrigues – Lee
Bob Rommel – Collier
Rick Roth – Palm Beach
David Santiago – Valusia
Chris Sprowls – Pinellas
Cyndi Stevenson – St. Johns
Jennifer Sullivan – Lake
Jackie Toledo – Hillsborough
Jay Trumbull – Bay

And to top it off, NRA “A Plus” Rated Governor Rick Scott, better known as Governor Gun Control these days, finished the deed by signing this abomination of a bill into law.

With Senate Bill 7026 now state law, the floodgates are open for more gun control.

Governor Scott and the self-proclaimed “pro-gun” Republicans in the Legislature are punishing YOU and other law-abiding Floridians for the actions of a criminal.

I know how upsetting this betrayal must be.

I’m angry, too.

With the 2018 primary season quickly approaching, it is more crucial now than ever for you to join other Florida Gun Rights members — by getting involved in the fight to protect our gun rights.

FLGR will have to channel even MORE grassroots pressure to make our presence felt across the state.

That’s why we must have all hands on deck.

The politicians that backstabbed us must pay for their anti-gun actions.

The gun grabbers are now more emboldened than ever and hungry to turn Florida into an anti-gun haven in the mold of California or New York.

In fact, anti-gunner Senator Lauren Book has already vowed to keep pushing for more gun control.

She said, “The work does not stop here. It is only the beginning.”

The anti-gunners will only stop when their end goal is achieved — an outright ban and confiscation.

And unfortunately, the NRA, which hands out “A” ratings to just about anyone with an “R” behind their name, regardless of their voting record, will likely try to cover for turncoat Republicans.

So what do we do now?

We prepare for the next fight during election season.

We can be nearly certain that after the passage of SB 7026, even more gun control will rear its ugly head in Florida.

And we must be ready to hold accountable EVERY politician who turned their backs on law-abiding gun owners to satisfy the anti-gun media or to advance their own political career!

The 2018 primaries offer the best opportunity to launch our accountability campaign against those who betrayed us during the legislative session.

If you’re able, please consider chipping in $10 or $20 to help Florida Gun Rights prepare for the next round.

The gun control fight in Florida is far from being over.

Thank you for everything you do to defend the Second Amendment.

For Freedom,

DJ Parten
Director of Legislation
Florida Gun Rights

P.S. Sadly Governor Rick Scott, aka Gov. Gun Control, recently signed radical anti-gun legislation, Senate Bill 7026, into law.

Governor Scott and the “pro-gun” Republicans in the Legislature are punishing YOU and other law-abiding gun owners throughout the state for the actions of a criminal.

We can be certain that after the passage of SB 7026, gun grabbers are already planning to push for MORE gun control.

We MUST prepare to hold accountable EVERY politician who turned their backs on law-abiding gun owners to satisfy the anti-gun media or to advance their own political career!

The 2018 primaries gives us a golden opportunity to do so.

But we’ll need considerable resources to wage this campaign.

So if you’re able, please consider chipping in $10 or $20 to help Florida Gun Rights prepare for the next round.
